I've wanted one of these ever since I saw my first Doctor Who episode as a child. While it was shown that these weapons were not particularly effective against the invading Daleks or whatever, my study of history since I became an adult has shown me that they're surprisingly effective against two-legged intruders.

Since I happen to live in a state that allows me the luxury of having one, along with a partner who couldn't say no to me bringing it home, my childhood dream is now a reality.

It's a fine weapon, if you're huge and need to put out a lot of firepower quickly. Coming complete with integral bipod, 21" barrel, and twenty rounds of .308/7.62 NATO ammuntion suitable for just about anything on Planet Earth, there's not much more it needs, other than a grenade launcher.

Maybe someday I'll be so lucky - or stupid enough to buy one and pay a $200 tax for the priviledge thereof.

Warning: In a progressive state like Idaho, you don't need a concealed weapons permit to carry a FAL under your coat. You do, however, need to be nine feet tall.
